Kendra has been given an Educator of the Year award and now must prepare a speech to give at a banquet in her honor. She has the support of her husband (and is trying to start a family with him) and best friend Monica, but her life is starting to unravel. Kendra will discover the cause is a long lost twin sister, Amber, who resents her twins "entitled" position. Kendra must fight her vindictive sister to save her home, husband, job, and finally her life.
In Seattle, thirty-three year old twin sisters Kendra Walker and Amber Sheridan were separated at age three when Kendra was adopted by the loving Collins family, with the two sisters then living in Bridges Orphanage under the abusive control of the facilitys matron Eunice. Kendra has led a good life: she is a respected teacher and is married to handsome and devoted architect Dane Walker, they live in a nice home in a nice neighborhood, and the two of them are expecting their first child. Amber, who was deemed the problem sister by Eunice and thus never adopted, has turned to a life of crime, mostly in the realm of theft and other misdemeanors. While Kendra has no remembrance of having a biological sister let alone a twin, Amber remembers Kendra well. When Amber discovers Kendras whereabouts and the fantasy life shes led, Amber is determined to have what she feels she was deprived of by assuming Kendras life, thus putting not only Kendras identity at risk, but her life in its entirety.
