Story: The time change and a case of mistaken identity result in a wonderful blind date for Trish and Parker, but is it enough to keep them together?

Dessert and pastry baker Trish Harper is quietly ambitious and wary of her older sister Chloe setting her up on blind dates until she meets easygoing paramedic Parker by mistake: hes sitting where her actual blind date, attorney Adam, was supposed to be, unaware at first that she missed the date due to missing Daylight Savings Time. Trish and Parker enjoy an unexpected date to remember but she agrees to meet Adam at last. While she finds little chemistry with the self-possessed Adam, and cant make Chloe understand that, she finds plenty more with Parker, whose wit, intelligence, and lack of ego charm her even as his reserve about his life puzzles her until she accidentally discovers and misinterprets Parkers most painful secret.

Fire department paramedic Parker hasnt dated since his wifes traumatizing death inspired his career switch. Surprised, he fails to straighten out talkative pastry baker Trish Harper, who mistakes him for attorney, the blind date her meddling sister Chloe arranged, as she forgot to adapt her alarm clock to the Summer time. They have a blast, but when Trish finds out he lied to her, she blames him and ultimately stops dating him in favor of real Adam, a self-absorbed career lawyer. Cued by fire department colleagues, Parker sweetly apologizes, but loses patience when wrongly assumed to cheat on her due to a picture of his late wife. The cup cake baking competition she prepared to enter would have fallen through hadnt it been for the recipe she devised in Parkers honor, and hes on safety watch at the event.
