Story: A scientific expedition investigating the outbreak of an unknown viral epidemic on an island in the south Pacific battles with a giant alien spider in the jungle.

A man is taken to a small clinic in Guam with mysterious bites on him. This sparks a search for what could have caused such wounds. A group of men and women fly to the island he lived on to investigate the situation. Due to technical problems, their small plane crashes and they are stranded on the island. After some time, they come to find the mans village is empty and that strange new breeds of killer arachnids have appeared all about the forest.

After a man dies in a Guam from a mysterious syndrome caused by an unidentified insect-bite on a nearby tiny island, an expedition team heads for the jungle to investigate. It comprises medical and zoological scientists as well as security, headed by Valentine, plus their female pilot. they soon discover its not an insect but a huge, spider-like mutated monster which kills people, both locals and them, by bite or poison.
