Story: A white bull terrier named Baxter is given to an elderly woman by her daughter. As time passes, the dog develops aggressive and murderous behavior in order to be adopted by another family.

Mrs. Devilles daughter Florence gives her a bull terrier named Baxter as a surprise present. Although shes afraid of him, she doesnt want to give him away because she feels lonely. But Baxter has his own ideas - he longs to be dominated, to be challenged - and so he isnt content with his boring life with the old woman. To get rid of her, he causes an accident. It works, and hes given to the neighbors, a young couple. Hes happy...for a while. When they get a baby, he again takes action.
