Story: After a genial spirit shows the benevolent Ebenezer Blackadder visions of his unscrupulous ancestors, he resolves to mend his generous ways.

In Victorian England, merchant Ebenezer Blackadder is a kind and generous man. He enjoys Christmas-time and is generous with friends and freely gives whatever he can to the poor. That night, he is visited by the Spirit of Christmas who shows him some of his less likeable ancestors. When shown the options for the future, he decides that being bad is the best way forward.

Generous, kind, and above all, sensitive, Ebeneezer Blackadder, owner of a moustache shop in Dumpling Lane, is, without a doubt, the loveliest man in all Victorian England. Penniless but blissful, Ebeneezers gracious and thoughtless generosity is always taken advantage by the crafty poor, who will not hesitate to take even his humble Christmas presents. However, when on that fateful night on Christmas Eve, the Spirit of Christmas pays Ebeneezer a visit to show him his ancestors behaviour at Christmastime and a vision of a distant future, inevitably, the charitable man will have to make a choice. In the end, has Ebeneezer learned his lesson?
