Story: A caveman seeks revenge on a much larger competitor for the hand of a beautiful cavewoman.

In the Stone Age, strong caveman Tonda is the leader of a hostile tribe and the outcast Atouk feels unrequited desire for Tondas mate Lana. One day, Atouk is walking with his best friend Lar (Dennis Quaid) and they meet the cavewoman Tala. They save her blind father Gog from a tar pit and Tala fells unrequited affection for Atouk. Soon the smart Atouk becomes the leader of the misfit tribe and dispute the leadership of the whole clan and Lana with Tonda. But in the end, the leader needs a worthwhile mate.

This spoof of prehistoric man movies, follows outcasts, Atouk and Lar, as they meet and join up with other outcasts to form their own tribe. The new tribe includes a blind man, a gay couple, a dwarf, and other oddball outcasts rejected by other tribes. But Atouk still longs to be with Lana, the beautiful mate of Tonda, the leader who kicked him out of his tribe.
