Story: A teen girl in 1970s Berlin becomes addicted to heroin. Everything in her life slowly begins to distort and disappear as she befriends a small crew of junkies and falls in love with a drug-abusing male prostitute.

This movie portrays the drug scene in Berlin in the 1970s, following tape recordings of Christiane F. 14-year-old Christiane lives with her mother and little sister in a typical multi-story apartment building in Berlin. Shes fascinated by The Sound, a new disco with the most modern equipment. Although legally shes too young, she asks a friend to take her. There, she meets Detlef, whos in a clique where everybodys on drugs. Step by step she gets drawn deeper into the scene.

Christiane is a 14 year old girl living in Berlin, Germany during the mid 70s. She begins going to a club called "Sound" with her older friend Kessi. She soon makes new friends most of whom are drug addicts and falls for a boy named Detlev who is also a drug addict and a prostitute. Christiane starts taking pills to fit in and later starts taking heroin. Her life starts to fall apart as she becomes a full heroin addict and sees the same happening to her friends.
