Screaming through the Nevada desert in a bullet-ridden Crown Vic, wily con artist Teddy Murretto () hatches a desperate plan to hide out from lethal hitman Bob Viddick (): He sucker-punches rookie officer Valerie Young () to get himself arrested and locked up in a small-town police station. But jail cant protect Murretto for long. Viddick schemes his own way into detention, biding his time in a nearby cell until he can complete his mission. When the arrival of a competing assassin () ignites all-out mayhem, mounting threats force Viddick to get creative if he wants to finish the job and escape the explosive situation.

Con artist Teddy is on the run in a stolen unmarked police car, which breaks down not far from a Nevada casino. In the midst of a brawl outside the casino, Teddy sucker-punches a rookie police officer so that he will end up in jail and protect him from his pursuers. One of those pursuers, hit-man Bob Viddick, gets himself also incarcerated in the same small-town jail by pretending to be drunk. While Teddy and Bob have altercations, a new killer enters the police station. Who sent him and why?
