Story: When an emotionally broken family moves into a house haunted by Tom, a suffering spirit, Tom sees an opportunity to try and save his soul by teaching the family how to live again...but quickly discovers that is easier said than done.

When drunken and depressed divorcee Tom falls over his second-story banister to his death, he unknowingly awakens in the afterlife to find things havent changed too much - that is, until Angie, a District Ghost Manager, arrives and rules Toms death a suicide. Tom is told he will have to remain in his home until the date of his ghost trial to determine if he will be sent to heaven or hell. The kicker comes when Angie tells him that things dont look good for his redemption because good and bad marks have been kept on him since he was born, and he is running a major deficit. One thing that gives Tom hope, though, is that the accounting of the good and the bad continues in the afterlife, all the way up until his trial.
