Story: About Nae-kyung who is able to assess the personality, mental state and habits of a person by looking at his face. Because of his abilities, he gets involved in a power struggle between Prince Sooyang and Kim Jong-Seo.

Set during the seizure of the throne by Sejo of Joseon in the year 1455, the movie follows the life of Nae-Kyung. Nae-Kyung, the son of a ruined noble family, goes all around Joseon and studies physiognomy. He is able to assess the personality, mental state and habits of a person by looking at someones face. Because of his abilities, he gets involved in a power struggle between Prince Sooyang and Kim Jong-Seo.

Skillful face reader Nae-kyung was living in seclusion when hes offered a lucrative partnership with geisha Yeon-hong. He accepts the proposal to read the faces of Yeon-hongs clients, only to get involved in a murder case. With his face-reading skills, Nae-kyung successfully identifies the murderer and his talent is even acknowledged by King Moonjong. The King brings him to his court to identify potential traitors who threaten his reign. However, when the King dies unexpectedly, Nae-kyung is approached by Grand Prince Sooyang, who yearns to rise to the throne by killing the young heir. Nae-kyung decides not to betray the late King and protect the young King, which only gets him closer to his own demise.
