Story: After a young couple take in their two nieces, they suspect that a supernatural spirit named Mama has latched onto their family.

Jeffrey Desange, senior partner of an investment brokerage, has a breakdown after a financial collapse and kills several co-workers and his estranged wife and kidnaps his two young daughters, Victoria and Lily. When theyre found five years later, theyre taken in by their uncle (their fathers twin brother) and his girlfriend. Macabre events soon make the new guardians suspect that a supernatural evil force named Mama has attached itself to the girls.

When Jeffrey Desange, the senior partner of an investment company, has a mental breakdown and kills several of his co-workers and his wife he takes his two daughters -- one-year-old Lily and three-year-old Victoria--into a cabin in the woods and is about to kill them when he is grabbed by an unseen figure. Lily and Victoria are left in the woods alone. Five years later Victoria and Lily they are in the care of their uncle and his girlfriend, who are left to wonder after a few strange events: were Victoria and Lily really alone in the woods or did something follow them?
