After reuniting with her high school sweetheart and spending an emotional Christmas with her family, she must decide if she will stay in her hometown and takeover her fathers practice.

Generally loved G.P. Bruce Turner plans to retire and close down his practice in East coast small town Greenwood by Christmas. His teen son Kyle helps him as receptionist during the last days. Adult daughter Vanessa Turner finally has an opportunity to return home for the holidays from her L.A. ER job, and insists to help out as doctor. She was picked up by former class lover Bruce, the local handyman, who is hired to remodel the practice, but has a bad fall. While her romantic advice for Kyle with classmate Shelly teds to go wrong, Nessa gradually falls in love with the small pleasures of small town life, patient friendship and Bruces charms, but must decide before Christmas whether to apply for an L.A. promotion.
