Story: An ambitious reporter gets in way-over-his-head trouble while investigating a senators assassination which leads to a vast conspiracy involving a multinational corporation behind every event in the worlds headlines.

Joe Frady is a determined reporter who often needs to defend his work to colleagues. After the assassination of a prominent U.S. senator, Frady begins to notice that reporters present during the assassination are dying mysteriously. After getting more involved in the case, Frady begins to realize that the assassination was part of a conspiracy somehow involving the Parallax Corporation, an enigmatic training institute. He then decides to enroll for the Parallax training himself to discover the truth.

Joe Frady is a newspaper reporter wrapped up in a government conspiracy concerning a senators murder. He knew people at the event when the senator was shot. Potential witnesses to the conspiracy are dying one after another. Frady gets a tip that a higher power may be at work here. Naturally as a reporter, he tries to do some detective work and conducts his own investigation on this string of deaths, which lands him in hot water. The conspirators may have become aware of his knowledge and thus anticipated his moves. Questionable things start happening to Frady, and he gets a foreboding feeling he might be the next one dead. Frady is living his life on the run like a fleeing prey, and can trust no one, thereby encapsulating him in an alienated world where he could be in the crosshairs at any moment. During Fradys ongoing investigation, he finds documents on the Parallax Corporation, which he believes is a front for recruiting political assassins. Frady decides to "become" a sociopath and enroll at the Parallax Corporation as he presumes thats the only way of uncovering the real truth. Besides, he doesnt have many options left before his time runs out. But he may have dug his grave even deeper.
