Barney Springboro and Peyton Nichols are fun-loving high school students working on a science project with white mice. When one of the mice begins to move food toward itself with out touching it, Barney finds he has accidentally discovered a formula for telekinetic powers. Now, how much trouble can a high school kid who can move things with just his mind get into?

Committed to serving science, the bookish high school student, Barney Springboro, conducts exciting experiments involving delicate orchids and lab mice all day long, totally unaware that he has no love life at all. Then, a freak-accident gives Barney acute telekinetic abilities, and just like that, a new and self-confident Barney emerges. Now, he can finally teach those bullies a lesson, and in the meantime, catch the eye of the classrooms belle, Jane Mitchell. But, what if love is closer than he thinks?
