Episode Info: Charlie invites Arab businessman Zaki Mansoor to invest in his all-weather leisure complex, not knowing that Zakis government are aware of his illegal transactions and have asked his colleague Adnan Rashid to persuade him to leave Jersey. Instead Adnan agrees to front the deal on Zakis behalf. Jim is asked to provide protection after attempts on Zakis life but when Zaki kills an assassin sent by Adnan and Kim is endangered, he realizes that Zaki is lethally capable of protecting himself.

Story: Recovering alcoholic and divorced father of a young daughter, DS Jim Bergerac is a true maverick who prefers doing things his own way, and consequently doesnt always carry out his investigations the way his boss would like.

Bergerac is set on the island of Jersey and was produced by the British Broadcasting Corporation in association with the Seven Network of Australia. First screened on BBC1, it stars John Nettles in the title role as Detective Sergeant Jim Bergerac, a recovering alcoholic and divorced father of a young daughter.
