Episode Info: While Mrs Khan, encouraged by her daughters, has a glamorous makeover, her selfish husband is more concerned with appearing in a promotional film Dave is making for the mosque and is annoyed to be passed over for handsome young Sajid. He conspires to get back in the limelight, subjecting himself to a painful waxing process, but suspects that Sajid is having an affair with his wife, hence her makeover. He is proved humiliatingly wrong, but there is a happy ending when Mrs Khan explains why she had the makeover.

The trials and tribulations of self-appointed Muslim community-leader Mr. Khan and his long-suffering family. Khan is a larger-than-life character, a small man with big dreams and strident opinions. Like many of us hes struggling to make ends meet, but hes proud of his thriftiness--witness his 1979 suit and ancient yellow Mercedes. Things would be so much easier if everyone just listened to him and followed his lead, but his obsessively house-proud wife and two feisty daughters have other ideas.
