Episode Info: Having caught Pete leaving Amys Jenny throws him out and orders him to take his things. Adam is shocked to discover that he has testicular cancer but when he tells Jenny and Pete it makes them see how well off they are and they decide to give their marriage another try. Adam has a successful operation for his cancer,after which he gets back with a sympathetic Rachel,whilst Davids handsome younger brother Nick comes to stay at the Marsdens house.

Story: The show follows the lives of 30-something couples Adam and Rachel, Pete and Jenny, and David and Karen as they navigate love and life in Manchester.

At times comedic and at other times heartbreaking, the series follows the intertwining lives of three Manchester couples at different relationship stages. At the start, Adam Williams and Rachel Bradley are a new couple. Adams best friend Pete Gifford and his wife Jenny are adjusting to life as new parents, and Rachels friends Karen and David Marsden fear the possible disintegration of their marriage. The later series picks up their stories over a decade later.
