Story: The life of a young boy as he meets friends, falls in love, maneuvers his way through grade 6 and writes all about it in his journal.

11 year old Doug Funnie moves to Bluffington from Bloatsburg. "Doug" follows his adventures as he writes in his journal. He falls in love with Patti Mayonnaise and befriends Skeeter Valentine. They all are in grade 6 in the Bluffington School and Doug tries not to make himself look like a loser in front of everyone.

Meet Douglas Yancy Funnie, who just moved to Bluffington with his parents, Phil and Theda, and his sister, Judy. When he isnt playing with friends Skeeter, Patti and Beebe, Roger Klotz is one of Dougs rivals. Doug likes to write in his journal and fantasize that he is a superhero named Quailman.
