Episode Info: In this episode of Extreme Engineering, Sixty-five miles east of Los Angeles, at one thousand feet below the mountain range, we are going down the belly of the earth. Miners are digging two huge tunnels to channel water from the Sacramento Valley to Southern-California. An extremely dangerous job, working through treacherous terrain next to the San Andreas fault line. The Miners encounter life-threatening conditions such as loose earth, floods and fires.
