Episode Info: McGarretts sister, whose infant son is dying of cancer, has fallen under the sway of a medical quack. Her husband is afraid to confront her. Instead, he summons McGarrett to their home in Los Angeles. McGarrett enlists the aid of U.S. Food and Drug Administration officials in prosecuting the quack. However, McGarretts sister refuses to believe her big brother. When the child dies, the sister turns against McGarrett. As the trial begins, it is disrupted by followers of the quack.

Story: The investigations of Hawaii Five-0, an elite branch of the Hawaii State Police answerable only to the governor and headed by stalwart Steve McGarrett.

Five-0 was a special state police unit answering only to the Governor of Hawaii. It worked with Honolulu police to fight the underworld in the island state. Sooner or later virtually all the bad guys heard Steve McGarrett grunt "Book em, Danno!" though chief bad guy Wo Fat was caught after MacArthur left the series.

Although based in Downtown Honolulu in the Iolani Palace, the men of Hawaii Five-0 are members of the Hawaii State Police, and are accountable to the Governor of Hawaii. Led by Steve McGarrett, its mission is to deal with "organized crime, murder, assassination attempts, foreign agents, felonies of every type".
