Episode Info: A respected physician on a remote island is found dead, and an autopsy reveals he was blown away with a shotgun while night swimming. The only suspect is a young-Turk doctor at a local clinic, who was convinced the old doctor had botched operations and killed people. But when other peoples stories turn up inconsistent, McGarrett realizes the old man was covering for a series of shady financial transactions and was killed -- by someone else -- because he knew too much and was blackmailing somebody to hang onto his job. The killer is not revealed until late in the show...

Story: The investigations of Hawaii Five-0, an elite branch of the Hawaii State Police answerable only to the governor and headed by stalwart Steve McGarrett.

Five-0 was a special state police unit answering only to the Governor of Hawaii. It worked with Honolulu police to fight the underworld in the island state. Sooner or later virtually all the bad guys heard Steve McGarrett grunt "Book em, Danno!" though chief bad guy Wo Fat was caught after MacArthur left the series.

Although based in Downtown Honolulu in the Iolani Palace, the men of Hawaii Five-0 are members of the Hawaii State Police, and are accountable to the Governor of Hawaii. Led by Steve McGarrett, its mission is to deal with "organized crime, murder, assassination attempts, foreign agents, felonies of every type".
