Episode Info: A candidate to head a longshoremans union is murdered in broad daylight, yet there are few clues about the crime. The dead mans opponent, who has political connections to the Governor, is pressing for McGaretts office to move quickly on the investigation. With few leads, McGarrett decides to locate the girlfriend of the murdered candidate, whom he believes has vital information about the crime, by impersonating a longshoreman himself - without telling Danny Williams, Chin Ho, or the other members of the Five-O unit.

Story: The investigations of Hawaii Five-0, an elite branch of the Hawaii State Police answerable only to the governor and headed by stalwart Steve McGarrett.

Five-0 was a special state police unit answering only to the Governor of Hawaii. It worked with Honolulu police to fight the underworld in the island state. Sooner or later virtually all the bad guys heard Steve McGarrett grunt "Book em, Danno!" though chief bad guy Wo Fat was caught after MacArthur left the series.

Although based in Downtown Honolulu in the Iolani Palace, the men of Hawaii Five-0 are members of the Hawaii State Police, and are accountable to the Governor of Hawaii. Led by Steve McGarrett, its mission is to deal with "organized crime, murder, assassination attempts, foreign agents, felonies of every type".
