Episode Info: The series concludes with the final showdown between McGarrett and Wo Fat. Three scientists who have disappeared have one thing in common, they all attended a symposium on possible space-based, laser defense systems. McGarrett impersonates a fourth scientist, Dr. Elton Raintree, who attended the same gathering and is soon abducted. Wo Fat is behind it all and wants the scientists to complete their work and produce such a device.

Story: The investigations of Hawaii Five-0, an elite branch of the Hawaii State Police answerable only to the governor and headed by stalwart Steve McGarrett.

Five-0 was a special state police unit answering only to the Governor of Hawaii. It worked with Honolulu police to fight the underworld in the island state. Sooner or later virtually all the bad guys heard Steve McGarrett grunt "Book em, Danno!" though chief bad guy Wo Fat was caught after MacArthur left the series.

Although based in Downtown Honolulu in the Iolani Palace, the men of Hawaii Five-0 are members of the Hawaii State Police, and are accountable to the Governor of Hawaii. Led by Steve McGarrett, its mission is to deal with "organized crime, murder, assassination attempts, foreign agents, felonies of every type".
