Episode Info: Mendoza is the manager of a string of warehouses along Hawaiis waterfront. He, his daughter and a group of hired thugs knock over the warehouses one by one and steal their contents. A robbery goes horribly wrong and ends in the death of an HPD officer. A robber, shot in the stomach, manages to get away with the managers daughter in tow. They park their truck in a deserted area and try to hide. What they dont know is that their stolen cargo is a vat of highly volatile chemicals which will explode under the tropical sun in a matter of hours.

Story: The investigations of Hawaii Five-0, an elite branch of the Hawaii State Police answerable only to the governor and headed by stalwart Steve McGarrett.

Five-0 was a special state police unit answering only to the Governor of Hawaii. It worked with Honolulu police to fight the underworld in the island state. Sooner or later virtually all the bad guys heard Steve McGarrett grunt "Book em, Danno!" though chief bad guy Wo Fat was caught after MacArthur left the series.

Although based in Downtown Honolulu in the Iolani Palace, the men of Hawaii Five-0 are members of the Hawaii State Police, and are accountable to the Governor of Hawaii. Led by Steve McGarrett, its mission is to deal with "organized crime, murder, assassination attempts, foreign agents, felonies of every type".
