Story: After being dumped by his girlfriend, a college student enlists a dating service to "rent" a girlfriend who, unbeknownst to him, happens to be both a fellow student and his neighbor.

Japan is weird. You can rent dads, mothers, children, even a girlfriend. When Kazuyas love rejects him, he is just as desperate to try the service. Good for him, the girlfriend he hires is very cute, but he wants to hide his relationship from his acquaintance. Too bad his new girlfriend goes to his university, their grandmothers are good friends, and they are neighbors. Kazuya also finds out that his new girlfriend is not as sweet as in the real life. How will their romance turn out?

As Kazuyas girlfriend dumps him, Kazuya struggles a lonely life with no girlfriend and decides to use Japans girlfriend rental service to hire Mizuhara Chizuru, his rental girlfriend, for ¥12000 per hour. Eventually, they end up being neighbours in a school which leaves centimetres between them. As time passes, Kazuya faces challenges while still being aware that Mizuhara is just a rental girlfriend and things shouldnt be taken to the extreme.
