Episode Info: The Kyles and Vanessas parents escort her to her first ultrasound. When asked if they wanted to know the babys sex, Michael is the only one who stands out with a positive answer. Obsessed with knowing whether hes having a grandson or a granddaughter, he tries by all means to have the doctor tell him. He finally assumes its a boy, and tells Jay and eventually the rest of the family. But in the end the situation reverses as they all confirm with the doctor the real sex of the future Kyle and leave Michael out in the rain. Meanwhile, Franklyn freaks out with the idea...

Story: Michael Kyle longs for a traditional life, but his day-trader wife Janet, gangsta rap-worshipping son Michael Jr., and brooding daughters Claire and Kady make his dream just that ... a dream.

Damon Wayans plays Michael Kyle, a man on a tragically funny quest for a "traditional" family. Hes a not-so-modern man living in a very modern world. Can you relate? His stay-at-home wife (Tisha Campbell-Martin) became a stock-market trailblazer. His only son idolizes gangsta-rap stars instead of him. His moody adolescent daughters two favorite hobbies are asking him for money and giving him grief. And his youngest daughter rarely lets her daddy have the last word. Perhaps after all of the chaos is over, he will realize that his dream of having a normal American family came true a long time ago.
