Homemaker Mrs. King is handed a package by a secret agent who is being pursued by bad guys. The secret agent, Lee Stetson, must then track down the homemaker before the bad guys do. Later episodes involve similar plots as Stetson and Mrs. King are teamed up together.

Amanda King is a divorced woman with two children. One day, a man named Lee Stetson, who is a government agent (codename: Scarecrow), was running from enemy agents. He then asked for Amandas help. Now instead of it being a brief encounter, Amanda got into the thick of his mission, and when it was all over, Stetsons boss Billy Melrose made her a part of the agency.
