Episode Info: Sydney is thrilled to be left home alone with her Grandma for a couple days since she usually lets her get away with almost anything. Sydney convinces her grandma Judy to let her have some friends over for a sleepover on a school night but Judy quickly realizes that Sydney may be taking advantage of her.

Story: Set in the present day with flashbacks to the 1990s, the comedy revolves around outgoing middle-schooler Sydney Reynolds, who lives with her single dad Max and her progressive grandmother Judy--three generations under one roof.

A heartwarming, sentimental comedy, "Sydney to the Max" centers around the experiences of sociable, goodhearted middle-schooler Sydney Reynolds and her protective, doting--and sometimes clueless--single dad Max as they navigate the challenges of growing up. Set during two time frames decades apart, flashback scenes to young Max and his best friend Leo in the 1990s parallel many of the funny predicaments Sydney and her BFF Olive get themselves into. VHS camcorders, bleached skater hair and other 90s-defining "relics" aside, Sydney and Max come to realize, aided by Sydneys kicky grandmother Judy, whos well-versed in Maxs childhood antics, that they have more in common than they think.
